He was predeceased by: his wife Sharan Cortéz; and his siblings, Armando, Juventino, Abel Cortés and Carmen Cortés.
He is survived by: his children, Hernan Cortés, Paula Cortéz and Rebecca Cortéz; his grandchildren, Layla, Gabby, Aidan, Adrian, Obed, Kathia and Aaron; and his brother Justo Cortés. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home Chapel (5108 F St, Omaha, NE 68117). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
