Mary Ann Olson Obituary
Mary Ann Olson died peacefully on October 21, 2025. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota on June 6, 1949 to Mary and Walter Olson.
Mary Ann was a strong and independent woman of high intelligence and sharp wit. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and served as an Employment Manager at the City of Omaha for many years before retirement. Mary Ann was a loving mother who enjoyed traveling, cheering on Husker volleyball, vacationing in Yucatan, Mexico, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kirk Beisel of Loveland, CO, her stepchildren Chase Beisel (Amy & 3 granddaughters) of Basel, Switzerland and Lane Beisel (Alicia) of Great Falls, VA. She is also survived by her siblings Richard Olson (Rosemary) of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Robert Olson (Nancy) of Omaha, NE, Christine Gilmore (Richard) of Omaha, NE and Jane O'Connor (Dennis) of Wilsonville, AL and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive extended family and friends at Westlawn-Hillcrest, 5701 Center St, Omaha, NE on Saturday, April 11, 2026 for a Celebration of Life with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am.
