She was predeceased by: her son Mark Jontz; her parents, Albert Varela and Carmen Varela; and her siblings, Juanita Ramirez, Cecilia Fay, Santingo, Lorenzo, Martin and Charles Vererla.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Powers-Kinney (Charles), Darrell Powers, Jr. and Juan "J. J." Jontz; her siblings, Nieves Rebolloso, Margaret Wanek (George) and Jerry Verela; her cousin Robert Joseph Ruiz; and her close friends, Sandy Peck, Jeanie Nobis and Betty Chalfant. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Philip Neri School or Church.
