She was predeceased by : her mother Dora Ferrari; and her stepsister Linda Gardner. She is survived by : her husband Andrew Nelsen; her children, Andrea Mullin (Andy) and Adam Nelsen (Kathrine); her grandchildren, Payton, Hadley and Alex Nelsen; her brother Lee Evey; her stepsiblings, Debbie Clark, Mary Oliver and Scott Nelson; her nieces, Kari Ramsey and Jennifer Iler; her cousins, Cecilia, Kevin Padilla, Tenia Gower and Tonya Cloyd; her brother-in-law C. D. Nelsen (Yong); and her niece Samantha Nelsen.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Field Club of Omaha (3615 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Muddy Paws.
