He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Korthals and Dena Korthals. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Deb Brown (Doug) of Monument, CO, Darla Korthals, Mark Korthals (Cheryl) and Mike Korthals (Connie); his brothers, Fritz Korthals and Ed Korthals; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Duncan and Rae Mathias (Mark). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Westwood Church or Hillcrest Hospice.
