It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maximus Johnson in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 13, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandmother Karen Walkling; and his aunt Amber Nielsen. He is survived by: his parents, Ashlen Johnson and Whitney Johnson; his sister Lilah Johnson; his grandparents, Mike, Kim Grieve, David Johnson, Bobby and Anna Nielsen; his great-grandparents, Karen Counterman, Warren and Sue Grieve; his uncles, Dustin Johnson (Leigh Ann), Stephan Johnson (Haley), Bobby Joe Nielsen (Jade) and Jesse Orr (Lisa); his aunt Antrenity Richards (Shawn); his cousins, Brooklyn, Braeleigh, Brityn, Brody, Oliver, Amanda, Jordyn, Marissa, Kaitlyn, Madisyn and Jett; and his best buds, Eevie, Oliver and Rosie. He is also survived by many great-aunts, uncles.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Funeral & Cremation Services - 82nd (4712 S 82nd St, Ralston, NE 68127). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“I am devastated to hear about Maximus's passing. He was in my Honors Drama class and to say that he was a bright light is an understatement. He did everything with unwavering passion and enthusiasm, and I will never forget his love for theatre, playing card games, and cats. Maximus truly spread so much joy and he never failed to make me laugh. He will be very dearly missed. Sending my deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
