He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene McKeown and Betty McKeown; and his niece Kaitlin McKeown. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his children, Kerry Hoiberg (Steve), Kelly Sonnichsen (Ryan), Shelly Anzalone (Subby) and Scott Hopkins; and his brothers, Kevin (Deb) and Kim (Anne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
