He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Cushing and Jeanette Cushing; and his brothers, Brian and Matt Cushing. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Cushing; his children, Allyssa Cushing and Caty Lund (Jordan); and his grandchildren, Sophia and Jaxen Lund.

A memorial service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106).
