He is survived by : his wife Angie; his daughters, Rose and Raquel (Sean); his grandchildren, Case and Carson; his daughter Gatsby (David); his grandchildren, Eleanor and Sylvan; his sister Terri (Dan); his nieces and nephews, Chuck and Dillon; his sister Tammy (Al); his nieces and nephews, Andrea, Sara and Nick; his sister Toni (Tom); his nieces and nephews, T. J. and Samantha; his brother Mickey (Julie); and his nieces and nephews, Devon and Nolan. He is also survived by cousins, friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (20500 W Maple Rd, Elkhorn, NE 68022). A vigil service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

He made the first ever $1 million donation to the FFA (2012).
