He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bender and Kathleen Bender (Barker); his wife Lee; his brother Duane Bender; and his sisters-in-law, Connie and Luann Bender.
He is survived by: his daughter Brandi-Lee Pavel of David City; his grandchildren, Kaci of Rising City, Sidnee Spatz (Devon) of Linwood, Jordan of David City and Everest of Norfolk; his great grandchildren, Koiya and Colter Spatz; and his siblings, Margaret Henson (EK) of Louiseville, NE, Susan Specht (Arden) of Schuyler, Thomas Bender (Viola) of Schuyler, Robert Bender of Schuyler, Leroy Bender of Schuyler, Danny Bender of Columbus and Glenn Bender of Wayne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and statues, Paul's family suggests memorials be made to Family Wishes for later designation.
