He was predeceased by : his parents, DeLos Kass and Alberta Kass; his son Merrill Kass; his grandson Gregory Kass; and his siblings, Joe Kass, Theresa Wiruth and Mary Glennon.

He is survived by : his wife Frances Ferreira; his son Michael Kass (Martha) of Oak Ridge, TN; his grandchildren, Benjamin Kass (Anna), Suzanne Kass and Daniel Kass; his son Matthew Kass (Kathryn) of Tucson, AZ; his grandchildren, Stephen Kass, Sarah Kass, Joshua Kass and Rebekah Kass; his daughter Mary Muckey (Ken) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Lauren Muckey and Ryan Muckey; his son Malcolm Kass (Jennifer) of Allen, TX; his grandchildren, Cedric Kass, Madelene Kass, Henry Kass and Isabel Kass; and his sister Madonna Mackin (Paul).
