He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Hilliar; his son-in-law Philip Carbonell; his brothers, Gerald and David Hilliar; his parents, Helen Hilliar and Harold Hilliar; and his siblings-in-law, LaNore and Holger Tweden.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lynne (Don), Lori (Ted) and Krissi (Kyron); and his grandchildren, Lisa, Jacob, Kylie, Abbey, Ryan, Kyron Jr., Andrea and Angela. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
