He is survived by: his close friend Zachary Biegert; his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Laura Samuelson (Gerdts), Liz Loring, Renee Zunker (Loring), Jessica, Wesley Godeken, Chloe', Cassie, Carlee, Eli, Ben Simonson and Zachary Biegert; his significant other Kristine Simonson; his pet Cooper; his siblings, Steven Gerdts (Cindy), Marla Loring (Gerdts) and Terri Gagnier (Gerdts); and his stepmother Jerrie Gerdts (Dring).
