He was predeceased by: his siblings, JD Huckeby, Bobby Huckeby, Mack Huckeby and Maxine Walker; his grandson Rick Huckeby; and his nephews, Francis Huckeby and Danny Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Huckeby; his children, Alexandra Huff and Ray Huckeby Jr. (Lena); and his grandchildren, Amanda Hartmann, Emily Hartmann, Jared Huff, Nichole Jackson, Cloe Huckeby and Michelle Huckeby. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
