He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Zelma Whiteside (Strawn) and Robert T. Whiteside; his friend Lyda; his wife Lyda; his children, Wyntress Rochelle (Wendell), Robert III (Karen) and John (Gina); and his stepdaughter Kelly Anders. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, or Disabled American Veterans.
