He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Balsano; his sons, Jeffrey (Michelle Shannon) and Douglas (Amanda); his grandchildren, Nolan, Cody, Maxine and Dutch; his brother Stanley Jr. "Butch" Niemiec (Jo); his sisters-in-law, Monica Kessler (Bill Koziol) and Lynn Hess (Jay Rush); and his friends, Mary, Jerry Rease and Ed Fuxa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Funeral Home (5108 F St, Omaha, NE 68117). A vigil service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Columbkille Catholic Church (200 E Sixth St, Papillion, NE 68046). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
