We announce the death of Robert Edward Shere (Omaha, Nebraska), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 91. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Biggerstaff and Aleen Biggerstaff (Bartholomew); his wife Patricia Shere (Collins) of Omaha; his brothers, Harold, Jack and Danny; his children, Robin Cedar and Allen Ludlow; and his sons-in-law, Joe Jennings, Frank Ceder, Jack Barnes and Tim Reynolds.
He is survived by: his sister Angie Matulevicz; his children, Teresa Jennings, Lori Shere and Rodney Shere (Dawn); and his grandchildren, Chris Bussing, Jeremy Shere, Jessica Zajac, Andy Ceder, Joe Ceder, Jamie Barnes and Amy Auen. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106).
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to the Special Olympics.
