He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Wilkins and Marvel Wilkins (Pickinpaugh); his stepfather Herschel Siemmering; his granddaughter Lily Leyden; and his brother Terry Wilkins.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Deanna Falcone (Tom), Craig Wilkins (Sylvia Slatten), Shelly Leyden (John) and Robert "Bob" Wilkins; and his siblings, Bonnie Crawford, Sharon Janssen and Gary Wilkins. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
