She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Walter and Mildred Walter; her husband Ed Tomes; and her siblings, Dorothy, Grace, Marjorie, George, Dan, Les and Roger.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth, Rawley Tomes (Jan), Patty Elsasser (Dan) and Todd Tomes; and her siblings, Leona Stratton, Eunice Pederson (Gary), Charles (Mary Ann), Ivan, Clint (Debbie) and Fred (Debbie). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wyuka Funeral Home (3600 O St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
In lieu of flowers memorials should be to the family, to be donated to the Weigel-Williamson Low Vision Clinic.
