She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Stender and Agnes Stender (Desler); her grandson Jeremy Eidson; and her sisters-in-law, Arlisse Barkley, Dee Barkley and Mary Ellen Boyden (Roy Myron).

She is survived by: her husband Charles Barkley of Cumberland; her children, Charles Barkley Jr. of Cumberland, Stephen Barkley (Debbie) of Grant, Catherine Thares of Fremont, Cynthia Manhart (David) of Neola and Robert Barkley (RaeLyn) of Cumberland, Iowa; her grandchildren, Michael Barkley (Brissa), Evan Barkley, Janice Richman (Jason), Patrica Peterson (Chase), Michele LaBuda (Chris), Scott Manhart (Jamie), Kelli Katzer (Cliff), Jill Manhart, Brandon Behney (Stephanie), Samuel Barkley (Ashley Waltz), Morgan Barkley (Marty Pelzer) and Grace Barkley; her brother Marvin Stender (Harolyn) of Omaha, Nebraska; and her brother-in-law Keith Barkley of Gretna, Nebraska. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

During Covid she wasn't able to receive the treatments she needed so she lost most of her sight.
