The memory of Sherman Petersen McShannon in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 67, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Sherman farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sherman is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Petersen and Darleen Petersen; his sisters, Donna McManamy and Sharon Tomasso; and his former wife Judith McShannon.

He is survived by: his children, Chance McShannon (Mackenzie), Thomas and Elizabeth; and his sisters, Sheryl Revord and Gloria Erickson (Lloyd). He is also survived by many grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins; and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106).
