She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Carey and Harold Carey Jr. (Myrtle Carey); and her brother Harold Carey Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Bee Carey Gatliff (Larry); her children, Paul Synhorst (Lori) and Lynn Katz (Mark); her grandchildren, Andrew Synhorst (Michaela), David Synhorst (Abby), Jeff Katz and Jennifer Walsh (William); her great grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Jack, Connor, Caroline, Liam, Jordan and Austin; her niece Wendy Becker (Dwight); and her nephew Mike Gatliff (Kate).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Alzheimer's Association-Nebraska Chapter.
