Sonja Shonka Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonja Shonka in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sonja may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sonja touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Angel, Joyce and Joshua Shonka; and her grandparents, Bernard and Lola Simmerman.
She is survived by: her daughter Kylie Jablonski (Jason); her parents, Duane Shonka and Judy Shonka; her grandchildren, Freya Rose and Opie Kane Jablonski; and her brothers, Michael D. Shonka (Christie) and Dustin K. Shonka (Megan). She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
