With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen R. Vermaas of Omaha, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Vermaas and Bernice Vermaas; his wife Kathy; and his brother-in-law James Goering. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Vermaas (Jill), Melody Hecht (Scott), Tanya Kohler (Craig) and Lindsay Andrews (Tyler); his stepchildren, Karin Tippit, Vicky Warren and Robert Warren; his grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, Maddisen Vermaas, Carissa Brunk (John), John, Joshua, Anna, Jacob, Ella Hecht, Timothy, Dawn Kohler, Julia, Emily and Henry Andrews; his great grandchildren, Amara Vermaas and Audrey Brunk; and his siblings, Gloria Goering, Sue Reuter (Rik), Tim Vermaas (Susan) and Carol Bejjani (Amal). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
