We announce the death of Terry Richard Hurlbert (Omaha, Nebraska), who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 74. Terry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie Hurlbert and Mernie Hurlbert; his brother Gerry; his brother-in-law Larry; and his nephew Dion.

He is survived by: his wife Paula; his children, Matthew (Mary) and Melissa (Joe); his grandchildren, Audrey, Charlotte, Harrison, Samuel, Josephine and Alexander; his sister Karen; his sister-in-law Cindy; and his son Jeremy.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church (17007 Q St, Omaha, NE 68135). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
