Gaherty (Omaha, Nebraska), born in Storm Lake, Iowa, who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Margaret; his daughters, Michele and Lisa; and his siblings, Helen (Mertz) and Joseph.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Gaherty; his children, Heather (Mark) and Timothy (Jeffrey Enejosa); and his grandson Thomas James Shelton (TJ). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Radio Talking Book, Central High School Foundation or St. Leo Catholic Church.
