He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lavone Bunn; his children, Tom Monnier (Vickie), Laurie Poppen (Brad) and Renee Hurney (Mike); and his grandchildren, Nate Monnier, Nolan Monnier, Missy Jackson (Dan), Danny Poppen (Audra), Matt Poppen (Amanda), Ryan Poppen (Maddy), Grant Poppen, Ashley Hurney, Amanda Lee (Erik) and Will Hurney (Nina).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
