It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Virka (Omaha, Nebraska), born in Fremont, Nebraska, who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Virka and Emma Virka (Nesladek); his wife Sharon Tank; and his stepfather John Heinemann. He is survived by: his sons, Randy E. Virka of Morse Bluff and Michael J. Virka (Christine) of Morse Bluff; his sister Darlene Becker (Jim); his brother-in-law Gary Tank (Judy); and his stepsiblings, Mert Heinemann (Colleen), Eldon Heinemann (Ellen), Myron Heinemann (Doreen) and Pam Nolte (Dick). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
