She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carl Weist and Grace Pauline Weist (Rhodes); her close friend Mary Ellen Flott; her husband Mearl Dodson; her daughter Caroline Willis; her son-in-law Harry Willis; and her brother William Weist.
She is survived by: her children, Bud Dodson (Mike Hast), Jerry Dodson, Gregory Dodson (Cecilia), Timothy Dodson (Shannon) and Diane Weihs; and her siblings, Lily, Darlene, Cordella, Andrew and Dennis. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
