He was predeceased by: his grandson Rick. He is survived by: his wife Maxine McGillen (Carlson); and his children, Mike, Neil McGillen (Deborah), Janet Rogge (Todd) and Julie Blank (James). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Community Covenant Church or The Arbor Day Foundation.
