He is survived by: his wife June Elizabeth Tiede of Lincoln; his daughters, Lucina Lurz (James) of Enumclaw and Christina Stroup (Reed Welke) of Lincoln; his grandsons, Vincent James Lurz and Quentin Michael Lurz; his siblings, Robert Stroup (Donna Karatko) of Erie and Mary Flakus (Terry) of Kansas City; and his siblings-in-law, Eileen Tiede of Omaha and Ron Johansen of Grand Island.
