Winifred Cox Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Winifred Cox (Omaha, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Winifred shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Winifred farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry McIntyre and Alice McIntyre; her husband Paul Cox; her children, Constance Cox, Jeffrey Cox and Richard Cox; and her sister Mary Menke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Chapman and Debra Merlitti; and her brother Fred McIntyre. She is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (7909 Mormon Bridge Rd, Omaha, NE 68152).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause that was close to Winifred's heart and reflects her enduring spirit of generosity.
