With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard Pruss of Oneill, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Pruss and Anna Pruss (Tresnak); his wife Barbara Jean McCarthy of O'Neill; his sons, Bob Pruss and Gregg Pruss; his siblings, Tony Pruss (Louise), Anne Albracht (Al), Bea Harris (Warren), Marie Herbert (Mel) and Lillian Horak (Robert); his brother-in-law Larry Butterfield; and also, Beverly and Ed McCarthy.
He is survived by: his children, Bernie Pruss II (Maru) of Denver, Colorado, Daniel Pruss (Linda) of Pueblo, Colorado and Diane Pruss of O'Neill; his grandsons, Joe Pruss (Bea), Jacob Shelhamer (Heather) and Michael Shelhamer; his great grandchildren, Emma, Jaxton, Kash, Koi, Elliana, Oliver and Callan; his brother Jim Pruss (Pat); his sister-in-law Delores McCarthy; and also, Kay Butterfield, Lynn Higgins (Tom) and Jim McCarthy (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
