It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Schaaf of O'Neill, Nebraska, born in Atkinson, Nebraska, who passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schaaf and Mary Kathryn Schaaf (Barnes); his siblings, Maureen Donlin and Bernard Schaaf; his brothers-in-law, O. J. Armatys, Jerry Kuhn and Gene Shoemaker; and his nephews, George and Jimmy Shoemaker.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Schaaf of O'Neill; his children, Mary "Kathy" Boyle (Rick) of Norfolk, Jerry Schaaf Jr. of Omaha, Gary Schaaf of Omaha, Tim Schaaf (Carolyn) of Johnson Lake and Matt Schaaf of Bow Mar, Colorado; his siblings, Mike Schaaf (Karen) of Algona, Donald Schaaf (Mary) of Omaha, Ruth Armatys of Grand Island, Gene Schaaf (Mary Rose) of Lincoln and Vicky Kuhn (Tim Moeller) of Lincoln; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Donlin Sr. of Grand Island and Becky Olson (Robin) of Atkinson. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
