He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Plessel and Gladys Plessel (Abbott); and his siblings, John Plessel (Mavis), Mary Grunke, Franklin Plessel, Evelyn Oberg (Bob), Stanley Plessel, Marilyn Howard (Jerome), Bonnie Plessel and Connie Read.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Plessel of O'Neill; his children, Mike Plessel of Atkinson, Ron Plessel (Casey) of Beatrice, Tim Plessel of O'Neill, Rich Plessel (Stacy) of Beatrice, Steve Plessel of Battle Creek, Jerry Plessel of Lincoln and Amy Gnewuch (Eric) of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Dena Conyer (Seth), Levi Plessel, Linzy Plessel, Megan Rice (Caleb), Avery Plessel, Kendall Plessel, Hayley Plessel, Erin Plessel, Tristan Plessel, Samantha Plessel, Micah Gnewuch and Bethany Gnewuch; his brother Gary Plessel (Judy) of California; and his brother-in-law Butch Read of O'Neill. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
