She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Frerichs and Elsie Frerichs (Rahe); her husband Danny Nekolite; her children, Lori Wright and Dennis Nekolite; her grandchildren, Michael Nekolite and Ashleigh Nekolite; her great grandchild Zayden Bittle; her siblings, Lyle Frerichs and Vida Jenkins (Harlan); and her sister-in-law Donna Irwin (Paul).

She is survived by: her children, Cindy Hauf of O'Neill and Rick Nekolite of O'Neill; her stepchildren, Deb Swanson (Randy) of Norfolk, Dan Nekolite (Deb) of O'Neill and Don Nekolite of Montrose; her sister LaVada Stanton (Bill) of O'Neill; and her sister-in-law Jackie Frerichs of O'Neill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biglin's Mortuary- O'Neill (111 N 3rd St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A prayer was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Biglin's Mortuary- O'Neill Starts (111 N 3rd St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (129 N 7th St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the O'Neill Cemetery (292-300 Liberty Ave, O'Neill, NE 68763).
