He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Sterup and Mary Sterup (Carter); his grandfather Don; his siblings, Bob, Doreen Sterup, Gene, Mary Sterup and Lois Henderson; and his daughter-in-law Michelle Sterup.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Meister; his children, Darla Winslow (Jim) of Osceola, Doug Sterup (Mary) of Hastings, Darin Sterup of Osceola and Donald Sterup (Stephanie) of Osceola; his grandchildren, Jena Ockander (Jarod) of Osceola, Matthew Sterup (Emily) of Lincoln, Shelby Czarnick (Zac) of Genoa, Zach Sterup of Ceresco, Morgan Langer (Derreck) of Shelby, Cierra Bradford (Garrett) of Statesville, Garrett Fisher (Cassandra) of Osceola, Sydney Sterup of Omaha, Kyle and Sadie Sterup of Osceola; and his great grandchildren, Daphne, Ivy Mentink, Laurel Carlson (Chase), Lydia Ockander, Analeis, Emma, Klara Czarnick, Cooper Langer, Ansley Bradford and Hudson Fisher.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (751 S Nance St, Osceola, NE 68651). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Vincent's Ferrer Catholic Church (751 S Nance St, Osceola, NE 68651). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (751 S Nance St, Osceola, NE 68651). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Osceola Cemetery (561 N Valley St, Osceola, NE 68651).
Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date.
