Geri Amen Obituary

We bid farewell to Geri Amen of Oxford, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 19, 2026 at the age of 72. Geri touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Eman and Virginia "Ginny" Eman (Flynn); her parents-in-law, Melvin and Elvera Amen (Titkemeier); her siblings-in-law, Rolland Amen (Carol), Alan Amen, Burdette Amen (Carol) and Joyce Wilder (Jack); her niece Amy Amen; and her aunt Louise Friedman.

She is survived by: her husband Terry Amen of Oxford; her children, Mike Amen of Alda, Nebraska, Scott Amen (Carmen) of Verona, Wisconsin and Teresa Barnett (Matt) of Elm Creek, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Karly Bruhl (Josh) of Minden, Nebraska, Cole Amen (Jaylee Daniels) of Kearney, Evan Amen of Hastings, Nebraska and Lexy Amen of Hastings; her great grandchild Weston Bruhl; her siblings, Carla Bienhoff (David) of Ottawa, Kansas, Glenn Eman (Rose) of Pensacola, Florida and Virgil Eman of Oxford; her close friend Mary Eman of Kearney; her cousin Lori Friedman of Colorado; and her siblings-in-law, LaRoyce Amen (Donna) of Holdrege, Don Amen (Linda) of Roca, Nebraska, Marilyn Novotny of Holdrege, Cheryl Edwards of Holdrege, Lori Ott (John) of Lincoln and Betty Amen of Onawa, Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church - Oxford (810 Odell St, Oxford, NE 68967).
