He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Fritz John and Georgia Mae Ludeke (Eman); his siblings, Dianna Kay, Carla Ann, Charlene Farwell (Gayle), Karen Ludeke and Steve Ludeke; his brothers-in-law, Virgil Einspahr and Osmond "Jinx" Jones; his stepson Michael Diez; and his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Margaret "Marg" Hornaday (Stover).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ludeke (Hornaday) of Oxford; his children, Pat Ludeke of Fremont, Nebraska, Brad Ludeke (Tracie) of Holdrege and Laura Tobiassen of Minden, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Kylie Rush (Marcus) of Omaha, Nebraska, Kelsie Gardels (Thomas) of Wilcox, Lexie Ludeke of Holdrege, Morgan Thomas (Blake) of Hazelgreen, Alabama, Chyne Dietz (Alyssa) of Kocomo, Indiana, Seth Saf (Ashley) of Bartley, Nebraska, Michael Ray Dietz of Staplehurst, Nebraska and Caleb Dietz (Emalee Goodwin) of Staplehurst; his great grandchildren, Amyiah Ross, Griffin, Kennadie Gardels, Margo Dietz, Fin, Fay Saf and Harper Jo; his siblings, Janis Einspahr of Oxford, Sharon Jones of Oxford, Lana Jean Nitchie (Ron) of Holdrege and Rodney Kim Ludeke (Patti) of Oxford; and his brother-in-law Larry Hornaday (Jo) of Kearney, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church - Oxford (810 Odell St, Oxford, NE 68967). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in Ron's honor and kindly suggested to the Oxford American Legion; Oxford First Baptist Church; Oxford Golden Generation Center / Hill Top Event Center; or the Cardinal Country Club.
