He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Smoky" Alberts and Leola Alberts (Wittwer); his brother Kirwin Alberts; and his son Cody Alberts. He is survived by: his wife Deb; his daughter Autumn Ball (Ryan); his grandchildren, Josiah, Kyler, Jaeleigh, Kapri and Jora; his daughter Sasauna West (Justin); his grandson Jonah; his daughter Leiauna Pelster (Alex); and his sisters, Janice Sines (Gary) and Sherry Larson (Wayne). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St Johns Lutheran Church (712 Colorado St, Culbertson, NE 69024).
Memorials in Byron's name are suggested to Pheasants Forever or to St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson.
