With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Townsend Wheeler of Palmer, Nebraska, who passed away on April 18, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Townsend and Eva Townsend; her husband Aldene Wheeler; her siblings, Pat Greene of Boone, Glen Townsend of Boone and Dana Townsend of Lenoir; and her grandson Jesse Burnett of Bluffton, SC..
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Burnett (Sammy) of Conover; and her brother-in-law Shawn Wheeler (Loretta) of Cape Girardeau, MO. She is also survived by one granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to Startown First Baptist Church General Fund in Barbara's memory.
