We are sad to announce that, on April 28, 2026, at the age of 90, Lathonia Jean Schneidewind in Papillion, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert L. Jones and Florine Jones (Purcell); her husband Dale F. Schneidewind; and her brother Billy D. Jones. She is survived by: her children, Kitty Penke (Randy) of Papillion, Kimberly Hyndman (Brad), Debra Messersmith (David) and Dale Schneidewind (Karen) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her grandchildren, Dalton, Dane Messersmith, Brandi, Sterling, Breanne Schneidewind and Kelly Shaffer (Jason) of Mount Ayr, Iowa.; her great grandchildren, Jaylee, Kellon, Kynzlee and Jaycee Shaffer; and her siblings, Butch Jones (Phyllis) of Venice Florida and LaVena Purdon of Newnan, Georgia..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
