He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Rhian and Ellen Rhian (Woodruff); his wife Sandy; his sisters, Margaret and Ann (Sandra); and his former wife Paula Jean Zibell.
He is survived by: his children, Shane, Jessica and Lee; his stepdaughter Carrie; his grandchildren, James, Michael, Gabrielle, Scott, Nathan, Rebecca, Cassie, Brandon and Amberly; and his siblings, Gail and Jean.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wherry Mortuary (919 G St, Pawnee City, NE 68420).
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Nebraska Public Media Foundation.
