He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Glissman and Lorna Glissman (Jones); his brothers, Gary Glissman and Joel Glissman; his nephew Robert Strudl (Brian Glissman); and his uncles, Stan Glissman, Larry Glissman and Don Glissman.

He is survived by : his son Michael Allen Glissman of Brownsville, TX; his wife Lori Glissman; his children, Jennifer Bierbaum (Darin) of LaPlata, MD and Steven Glissman (Danielle) of Humboldt, IA; and his grandchildren, Dakota Bierbaum, Addelyne Glissman, Ari Glissman and Zane Glissman.
