She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Buchholz and Martha Buchholz (Jahnke); her husband Darrel Baker; her son Vincent Shemat; her stepchildren, Brad Baker and Cindy Kubik; her grandson Adam Shemat; her stepgrandson Joshua Baker; her brother Charles Buchholz (Sharron); her brother-in-law Dale Krusemark; and her stepson-in-law Verne Tyrrell.

She is survived by: her sons, John Shemat of Pender, NE and Steve Shemat of Calais, ME; her stepchildren, Brian Baker (Val) of Wakefield, NE and Jenny Tyrrell of Pender, NE; and her sister Peggy Krusemark of Pender, NE. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
