For Shelley is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kearney Lackas and Carol Lackas (Kalin). She is survived by: her husband Kevin Kirkland; her daughter Cierra Wilson (Jacob); her granddaughter Josephine Lynn Wilson; and her siblings, Gwen Jorgensen (Steve), Lori Smith (Jay) and Greg Lackas (Michelle). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home (312 Mc Cabe St, Pender, NE 68047). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Belden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Belden Cemetery in honor of Shelley's wishes.
