He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald "Herm" Schumacher and Carol Schumacher (Carstens); his grandparents, Kris, Lloyd Carstens, Herman and Fern Schumacher; his brother John; his sister-in-law Bev Mack; and his nephew Chris Schumacher.
He is survived by: his significant other Melanie Newill; his daughter Kelly; and his siblings, Jodi, Steve Beaudette of Plainview, Chad, Colleen Schumacher of Plainview, Jerry and Brenda Schumacher of Bellevue.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (405 W Park Ave, Plainview, NE 68769). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
