He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Frederick Christiansen and Mae Christiansen (Brokaw); and his brothers, Vernon Christiansen (Bernice), Norman Christiansen (Luretta), Donald Christiansen and Ernest Christiansen (Sharon).

He is survived by: his wife Karen Christiansen (Leitzke) of Creighton; his sisters, Dorothy Babcock of Creighton, NE, Esther Behrens of Norfolk and Fern Stacken; and his brothers-in-law, George C Babcock, Ralph Clausen, Marlin C. Behrens, Jim Stacken and Bill Goodmen.
