It is with sadness that the passing of Carol J. Jacobs of Platte Center, Nebraska is shared. Carol, born on April 16, 1947, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Mae Bruhn (Warburton) and Harley Roland Bruhn; and her sister Dorothy Gallagher (Bruhn). She is survived by: her husband David Lee Jacobs Sr.; her children, David Lee Jacobs Jr. (Lynn) of Firth, Nebraska and Christina Brown (Ryan) of Platte Center, Nebraska; her grandsons, Mitchell Edwin Jacobs of Fairbury, Spencer Lee Jacobs of Firth, Nickolaus Ober (Regina) of Valentine, Jason Ober (Jasmine) of Okmulgee and Darian Ober-Brown (Alexis) of Platte Center, Nebraska; her great grandchildren, Serena Nicole and Ryker Lee; and her siblings, Keith Doyle Bruhn and Donna Hastings (Bruhn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home (2109 14th St, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
