It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Butch Choate of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, who passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Butch Choate to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Choate and Beulah Choate (Carney). He is survived by: his wife Debra Choate of Plattsmouth; his children, Kim Schroeder (Mike) of Aberdeen and Toby Choate (Laura) of Plattsmouth; and his stepchildren, J. J. Tilson (Kim) of Plattsmouth and Nate Tilson (Jaime) of Plattsmouth. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
